Silicon Knights before signing out for the year, also said to expect a co-op video, and a demo to hit XBL marketplace in early '08.

The creators of Too Human, Silicon Knights, have (after an almost two month hiatus) added to their Club IGN blog! This time around Director of Content, ken McCulloch, talks about the process of naming people and items in Too Human and the what it takes to get it right. For me, its about damn time, I can not wait to play Too Human and love finding out all I can about it. And this is the best place to find out oodles of information.

Dashboard Update

The long awaited dashboard update is only a few short days away! So if you are wondering what is so great about this overdue update head over to OXM online and take a look.

There is one big update that is still in limbo, and thats the DivX support for the Zune. For those of you who do not know, adding this will allow you to watch video content (and where you find this content is not my place to say) on your 360 that is in DivX format. You also might ask why not just buy a converter? Well its cause im cheap and lazy...so there.

One Console To Rule Them All?

Over at Gamasutra, they have posted a very interesting article. It features a rag-tag group of videogame analysts, and a very interesting question: Do you think it's possible that the video games industry will create a standardized (development or hardware) platform in the future?

Personally I hate not being able to play games with the friends of mine that own other systems and would love never having to worry about that again. With that said, I do think competition is good, not only to help keep prices low, but its ability to promote innovation within the industry, because without innovation games become stagnant and mediocre.

Mass Effect Reviewed

First and foremost, Bioware is my favorite developer of all time. Secondly Star Wars KOTOR is my favorite RPG of all time. And in less then 24 hours, I will have in my hands, what is being billed as Biowares greatest achievement, and if the reviews are any indication, that may be an understatement. See for yourself:

The Original Xbox: Gone Too Soon?

Over at the newly re-designed OXM online, there is an interesting article about the demise of the original Xbox, and whether or not it left us before its time. After reading the article I have to say that while its death may have been a bit on the premature side, it served a purpose no one can deny: it launched the Xbox brand, and has since become the father of arguably one of the greatest gaming systems to ever sit under our TVs.

Assassins review

Assassins Creed is one of the biggest games of the year. And from what IGN says, its also one of the biggest disappointments. Its really sad, I'm so sick of playing FPS games and thought this was going to be my reprieve...

Zero Punctuation

While this particular episode of Zero Punctuation had nothing to do with the 360, its always fun to check out what the latest game Yahtzee bathes in the loving embrace of his BFG9000. It makes me wonder, does this guy like any new games? Oh well its still good for a chuckle, even if it seems the more reviews that Yahtzee does the angrier he gets. Next week he'll be decapitating kittens just to get his frustration out.

The Story of Halo

So I was wandering around the Internet last night when I came upon this video on YouTube.com. It was the first cut scene from Halo: CE. The one where the Pillar of Autumn has just escaped the fire that engulfed the planet Reach, and by doing so discovered the ring world of Halo. It was really cool to watch it being that it has been many years since I played the game. The best part is, they were all there, every cut scene from the game! So for those of you like me, I thought id post those videos right here for you to catch up on the Halo lore.

If you want go even deeper into the Halo Universe I highly recommend reading the prequel novel "The Fall of Reach", its very good and really sets up the character of Master chief.

Bioware + Lucasarts = Awesome F&%$ing game!

Lucasarts announced today that they have teamed up once again with Bioware to work on an undisclosed "interactive entertainment product". Does this mean KOTOR III? All I know is, I hope so. KOTOR I and II are my favorite RPGs of all time. Being not a fan of JRPGs the list of otherwise good RPGs is somewhat "limited". Sadly Lucasarts is being quite hush hush about the game saying only that the game "will push the boundaries of the gaming market by utilizing the strengths of both companies to deliver an innovative, high-quality experience".

Now the other big question is, what system or systems will the game be coming out on? Traditionally when these two companies have gotten together their game has come out exclusive to the xbox and PC. Will this hold true? Personally as long as its on the 360 I don't care if its on the PS3 as well. As long as development for the PS3 does not slow down overall game development.

Halo 3 Shorts

I know this is a bit old, but GameTrailers.com in their infinite love for us, have posted the Halo shorts in there entirety. So if you are one of the few people that have not seen any of these shorts, nows the time. On the other hand if you have seen them, but wonder what they look like all strung together then this is for you as well.

Seeing these all put together makes me wish a Halo movie was on the horizon. To me it begs the question WHEN the Halo movie would be? I personally think, if it were set during the first Halo it would make a better movie than if it was set during the other two games. What do you think? Feel free to leave a comment and let me know.

Over at teamxbox.com they have compiled a list of some of the scariest moments in gaming history. The list is good, even if the number of scary titles for the xbox and 360 can be counted on one hand. I do have to say that Condemned is the second scariest game I have ever played, taking second place only to Silent Hill (the scariest game ever). So if this Halloween season you are looking for some real scares make sure you play a game or two from this list.

Well guess what, you were right! Today Ubisoft announced that its most highly anticipated game Assassin's Creed will be coming out Nov. 13. All I can say is WOOT! This game looks like so much fun. But more then that I cant wait to delve deep into the story. Check out the press release below.

SAN FRANCISCO - October 25, 2007 - Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced its highly anticipated Assassin's Creed(TM) video game has gone "gold" and is set to launch in North America on November 13, 2007. The title is one of the most anticipated games for the holiday season, arriving on the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft at the MSRP of $59.99 with the Limited Edition priced at $69.99 - rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. Star Wars MMO not in the works?

Bioware announced several years ago that their Austin based studio was developing a MMORPG, and thats it. No other info about the game was given. As a matter of fact no information about the game other then the fact that it exists has ever been given. But many rumors have been flying around the Internet speculating that the mysterious MMO would be set in the Star Wars Universe. Today, some news hit the web dashing many Star Wars fans hopes of a better MMO then the not-so-great Star Wars: Galaxies(which was my first MMO ever). Bioware in an email to IGN reminded the world that the rumors about its MMO were just that, RUMORS.

What does all this mean? Not much, the game is still in development, and the possibility that it is set in the Star Wars universe is still real. So until more information is released on the game, we can only speculate as to its details. All I know is that if it IS based in the Star Wars universe, I will be buying a new computer to play.

GOLD!!!

For many Halo 3 has not seen the light of day since entering 360s all over the world. But another momentous occasion in Xbox 360 history has accord, Mass Effect a title almost as highly anticipated as Halo 3 has gone gold. Thats right ladies and gentleman GOLD!

I personally cannot wait. While I am very excited to play Call of Duty 4, and Assassins Creed I will be setting both games aside when Mass Effect Launches. I have played through many Bioware games including; KOTOR, KOTOR II, Jade Empire, and NWN. But only KOTOR had me this excited for a RPG.

What I think is one of the best parts about the game and American RPGs in general is that they bring to the table engaging stories, high octane action, and gorgeous visuals. But what it lacks is all the confusion that traditional JRPGs can sometimes have, with plots that at times seem to lead nowhere.
